Ogma

Ogma
(Oghma)
In Celtic myth a chief of the Tuatha Dé Danann, the son of Dagda, who is also known as Cermait, the Celtic god of literature, who is said to have invented the Ogham alphabet.
He married Etan, the daughter of Dian Cécht, and had several children, including Caipre and Tuirenn. He killed Indech, the Fomors chieftain, in battle and was said to have captured the Sword of Tethra, later to be included in the treasures of the Tuatha. In Gaul he was known as Ogmios. In Britain he has been equated with Gwydion. He may have been the son of a moon goddess.
